Herbal bath

The postpartum herbal bath is a tradition that our clients have enjoyed since the beginning. The bath promotes relaxation for both mom and baby and are used to reduce inflammation and discomfort associated with perineal tearing or trauma. The herbal bath time also allows for the mom to inspect her new baby from head to toe.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous Oxide

Some clients choose Nitrous Oxide at FWBC. Nitrous Oxide for labor is a bled of 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous oxide to relieve pain and anxiety during labor. In fact, several countries with high standards of healthcare, such as Canada, Sweden, Australia, Finland, and the United Kingdom, routinely use a Nitrous Oxide during labor. Many benefits of nitrous oxide have been observed including promoting progression in labor, allowing for rest periods and decreasing maternal anxiety. Nitrous does not interfere with the release of endogenous oxytocin and has no adverse effects of the normal physiology and progress of labor.
