With 5 years of early childhood education experience, Kaitlyn decided to change careers after the birth of her child. Kaitlyn was raised in north Texas in a birth positive home and has spent her life advocating for women's healthcare and equality. As a teacher, Kaitlyn worked closely with families of all backgrounds and is proud to serve the community she calls home. Kaitlyn believes that quality, research based education is one of the most important things for families. 

Kaitlyn is a lifelong learner with degrees in human development and history. She is a graduate student at Texas Woman's University, studying human development and family studies. 

Kaitlyn was raised in Cleburne, Texas, where she still calls home. When not teaching, Kaitlyn can be found enjoying time with her husband, toddler and basset hounds, Abbey and Lucy. Kaitlyn enjoys cozy days at home, photography, reading, crafting and tending her backyard garden

This is a complimentary class that is required for all families planning to give birth at FWBC for the first time. The ideal time to take this class is between 34-37 weeks gestation. At the birthing center, all healthy babies are discharged at 4-6 hours of life. Both mom and baby will also have a follow up in home visit with either a nurse or midwife 24-48 hours after the birth. The purpose of this class is to teach safety measures to these families who will be caring for a newborn that is less than 24 hours old.

Kaitlyn was raised in north Texas in a birth positive home and has spent her life advocating for women's healthcare and equality. As a teacher, Kaitlyn worked closely with families of all backgrounds and is proud to serve the community she calls home. Kaitlyn believes that quality, research based education is one of the most important things for families. 

Kaitlyn is a lifelong learner with degrees in human development and history. She is a graduate student at Texas Woman's University, studying human development and family studies. 

Kaitlyn was raised in Cleburne, Texas, where she still calls home. When not teaching, Kaitlyn can be found enjoying time with her husband, toddler and basset hounds, Abbey and Lucy. Kaitlyn enjoys cozy days at home, photography, reading, crafting and tending her backyard garden
